Our Team

Learn about the visionaries behind our metal fabrication and training company, Daniel and Linsey Melo da Silva. With over 40 years of experience in the Third Sector, they have successfully grown not-for-profit employability organizations and empowered individuals through training and support.

With a drive to offer hope and opportunity to others, and a shedload of faith, the couple made the bold decision to leave Scotland behind in 2016 and establish a community project in Northeast Brazil. With a modest budget, the scope and reach of the organization has expanded over 8 years, enabling it to reach over 60 employability candidates. Through workshop placements and wrap-around support, individuals are equipped with skills and 70% of trainees secure sustainable employment.

Outside of professional pursuits, Daniel finds joy in simple pleasures. Football, road trips and barbecues are a few of his favourite pastimes. When Linsey is not sorting the admin behind Forge and Equip, she enjoys reading and indulging in a good cup of coffee.
