Route-to-Employment

Based on our experience that no one size fits all, we believe a flexible approach is ideal for beginners. Our part-time placements allow trainees to learn basic skills in MMA, MIG, and TIG welding, best practices in Health and Safety, and an understanding of different metals and welding defects.

Our Route-to-Employment course includes assessments along the way to ensure you're making progress with your skills and knowledge. Trainees can discover if welding and fabrication could be a career path, improve skills for a specific project, or explore a new or forgotten hobby.

Once you’ve learned the basics and are comfortable in a workshop environment, we offer a range of opportunities and support. We can facilitate obtaining the BS4872 certification through an independent assessor, or work with you to determine the best approach to take the next step in your career. Our aim is to see people thrive using their skills for good, providing as much support as possible to enable trainees to take the next steps in work and life, with continued mentorship.
